There are several different scenic views you can enjoy at Niagara Falls, one of the undisputed icons of American Landscape. Each one offers very different and unique experience. This Window-View depicts the unique atmosphere of Horseshoe Falls, capturing massive amount of water with misty cloud, as seen from the Canadian side of the border.



    Interesting Facts about Niagara Falls:


  • Niagara Falls are a set of beautiful waterfalls, Horseshoe Falls, American Falls with adjacent Bridal Veil Falls, located on the Niagara River, forming part of the border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York

  • The Niagara Falls are located only 17 miles = 27 km from Buffalo, New York and 75 miles = 120 km from Toronto, Ontario.

  • Despite certain controversy, it is generally agreed that Niagara Falls were first brought to the World’s attention in 1677 by Belgian Father Louis Hennepin who observed and described the Falls after exploring the Niagara River region

  • Throughout the 19 century sightseers had limited access and often had to pay for a glimpse of the falls. On the U.S. side Niagara Reservation was created in 1885 as the New York’s first state park and the province of Ontario followed and established the Queen Victoria Niagara Falls Park for the same purpose

  • The larger Horseshoe Falls drop about 170 feet = 52 m and are about 2,600 feet = 792 m wide, while The American Falls drop about 70 feet = 21 m and are 1,060 feet = 323 m.

  • The best known tourist attraction at Niagara Falls is the Maid of the Mist boat cruise, who have carried passengers into the whirlpools beneath the Falls since 1846. Various other tourist attractions are located in either Canada or the USA side of the Niagara Falls.
